Subanana covers the whole captioning workflow, from uploading recorded media for subtitles and transcripts to running live captions at an in-person or online event. The recorded side supports more than 95 languages with glossary terms and a higher-quality transcription model on paid tiers. Live Captions is the product that drew attention in September 2026, and its design choice is the interesting one. Rather than putting one translated caption track on a screen at the front of the room, attendees scan a QR code and read captions on their own phone in the language they choose, so a multilingual audience is served simultaneously. Speaker names and a glossary can be pre-loaded, latency is stated at under two seconds, and output can also drive an on-screen or public display. Afterwards, transcripts export to SRT, VTT, or DOCX. Plans are minute-based on an annual allowance: Free covers 15 minutes per project and three uploads per month with a five-minute event captions trial, Lite is 9 dollars per month billed yearly for 720 minutes, Pro is 18 dollars for 2,160 minutes, Max is 50 dollars for 7,200 minutes with Event Captions included, and a custom Team plan adds shared workspaces, admin roles, and SSO.
