Figma AI

Figma is the collaborative design platform used by product teams at companies such as Airbnb, Microsoft, Netflix, Stripe, and Duolingo. Founded in 2012, it pioneered browser-based, multiplayer design and has expanded from Figma Design and FigJam into a broad product suite including Figma Make, Slides, Sites, Draw, Buzz, and Weave.

After Adobe's proposed acquisition was terminated in 2023, Figma remained independent and went public in 2025, listing on the NYSE under the ticker FIG. Figma has since positioned AI as a core layer across its products, branding the effort as Figma AI and emphasizing admin governance and data protection.

Figma AI's headline capability is Figma Make, which converts prompts and existing designs into high-fidelity, code-backed prototypes and shippable web apps, including data-driven apps via Supabase. Figma is a public company, listed on the NYSE under the ticker FIG following its 2025 IPO. It previously raised significant venture funding and was the subject of a proposed $20B Adobe acquisition that was terminated in late 2023. As Figma AI is a feature set rather than a separate entity, it has no independent funding.
