Great first tasks:

• Draft or rewrite an email — 'Write a polite email declining this invitation' or 'Make this email more concise and warm.' Email is where most people feel AI's value fastest.
• Summarize something long — paste a long article, email thread, or document (or attach a PDF) and ask for the key points and any action items. Claude's long-document strength shines here.
• Explain or learn something — 'Explain [topic] simply,' then ask follow-up questions until it clicks. Claude is a patient, on-demand tutor.
