Module 1: The Creator Workflow & AI

Ideation, hooks, and titles

Generate angles and variations — but don't just chase AI trends.

AI is genuinely useful for the front of the creative process — brainstorming angles, generating hook and title variations at volume, and surfacing subtopics. But there's a real trap here (blindly chasing what AI or trend data suggests), so the skill is using AI for raw material while keeping your judgment about what actually fits your audience.

Where AI helps ideation:

  • Angle brainstorming — 'give me 20 different angles on this topic for my audience.' Great for breaking out of a rut and seeing options you wouldn't have.
  • Hook and title variations — generate many opening hooks or title options quickly, then pick and refine the strongest. Volume is AI's strength; you supply the taste to choose.
  • Subtopic and outline expansion — turn one idea into a structured set of points to cover.
  • Summarizing research — condensing what's out there on a topic so you can find your angle faster.

The critical caution: don't just chase AI-suggested trends. It's tempting to let AI (or trend tools) tell you what to make, and churn out whatever's 'trending.' But trend-chasing creates 'endless catch-up loops' and burnout — many creators report high stress from the pressure to react to every trend. And a generically trending topic rarely beats one that genuinely fits your audience and your voice. Use AI to gather and summarize, then you decide what's worth making based on what your specific audience actually wants from you. AI does the heavy lifting (gathering, summarizing, generating options); you do the interpretation and the choosing.

On AI-generated 'high-CTR' hooks — a double-edged tool. AI is good at generating attention-grabbing, clickbait-style hooks and titles. But be careful: audiences increasingly perceive clickbait as manipulative regardless of who wrote it, and it can reduce trust in you. So don't let AI push you toward hooks that over-promise and under-deliver — a hook that grabs attention but betrays it costs you the relationship. Use AI's hook variations, but choose ones that are compelling and honest to your content.

The mindset for ideation. AI is a brainstorming partner that produces options fast; your job is judgment — which angle fits your audience, which hook is compelling without being manipulative, which idea is actually worth your time. Generate widely with AI, then choose deliberately with your own taste and knowledge of your audience.

The takeaway: AI is genuinely useful at the front of the creative process — brainstorming angles, generating hook/title variations at volume, expanding outlines, and summarizing research — with volume as its strength and your taste supplying the choice. But don't just chase AI-suggested trends: trend-chasing creates catch-up loops and burnout, and a generically trending topic rarely beats one that fits your audience and voice. AI gathers and generates; you interpret and decide. And treat AI's clickbait-style hooks carefully — audiences perceive manipulation regardless of source and lose trust, so choose hooks that are compelling and honest. Generate widely, choose deliberately.

Try it

Use AI to generate 15–20 angles or hooks for a piece of content, then apply *your* judgment: which genuinely fit your audience and your voice, and which are just generic or manipulative? Pick the best 2–3 and note why. Practice the split — AI generates the options, you make the choice based on knowing your audience.
