Best for	—	Support teams that want AI and human agents in one integrated system Growing businesses scaling customer service volume Companies seeking outcome-based AI pricing tied to resolutions
Pros	—	Fin is trained specifically for customer service and integrated natively into the helpdesk, so the AI agent and human inbox share data and hand off conversations without the seams typical of third-party bolt-on bots. The outcome-based pricing model charges $0.99 only when Fin actually resolves a conversation, which ties AI spend to measurable value rather than a flat subscription. Coverage is genuinely omnichannel — Fin handles live chat, email, phone, and messaging, with newer support for voice and image inputs and multilingual conversations. Copilot gives human agents a real-time in-inbox assistant that drafts replies and surfaces answers, improving efficiency without removing human oversight. Fin can run on an existing helpdesk such as Salesforce with no Intercom seats required, letting teams adopt the AI agent without ripping out their current stack.
Cons	—	The hybrid per-seat plus per-outcome pricing makes total cost difficult to forecast, since the bill scales with conversation volume on top of seat fees. Several valuable capabilities — Copilot beyond a small free allowance Pro AI analytics, and proactive support — are paid add-ons that push the effective price well above headline seat costs. The full platform can be more than smaller teams need, and reaching enterprise features like SLAs and SSO requires the highest-priced Expert tier. Because Fin and the helpdesk are tightly integrated, teams that adopt the complete platform take on meaningful switching costs if they later want to migrate.
