CoGrader is an education AI tool built to cut the time teachers spend grading essays and open-ended work. It scores student writing against specific rubrics, including state assessments like STAAR, CAASPP, B.E.S.T. and NY Regents, as well as AP, IB or custom rubrics, and generates meaningful feedback for every student in a fraction of the usual time. Beyond grading, CoGrader scans essays for potential copying and AI-generated text, letting teachers review flagged passages in context before finalizing grades. Crucially, the workflow keeps the teacher in control: the AI handles the repetitive first pass, and the teacher reviews, adjusts and signs off on every grade. The tool imports assignments from Google Classroom and reports adoption by more than 100,000 teachers across 16,000+ US schools.
